Hi, I'm Lani

Founder of Lady Lou Collections

Lady Lou was never just about jewellery.
It was about how something small can bring you back to yourself.

My love for fashion began young. My mum owned and operated her own boutique in our hometown of Warwick, QLD for 11 years, and growing up in that world shaped me in ways I didn’t fully understand at the time.

Watching her create, style, and connect with women planted a seed, one that quietly grew within me. As a little girl, I always dreamed of one day having my own boutique.

Life took me down a different path first, but the pull toward fashion, accessories, and building something of my own never really left me.

After losing my Dad to Leukaemia, I took part in the World’s Greatest Shave in October 2019. It was in that season, with a shaved head, that Lady Lou came to life.

I quickly discovered just how powerful earrings can be.

How they frame your face, lift your confidence, and help you feel put together when everything else feels bare.

What started on my kitchen bench soon grew into more than I ever expected. From an online community, to a pop-up shop, and then to a shopfront, Lady Lou became something I was incredibly proud of.

But after falling pregnant with my third child, my priorities shifted. I wanted to be home in that season, so I made the decision to close my shopfront and bring Lady Lou back online, allowing motherhood to take centre stage again.

After stepping away to be home with my children, I tried to find my way back to Lady Lou a few times. But life kept throwing curveballs.

Then came the one that changed everything.

I lost my beautiful Mum to cancer last year, something that completely flipped my world upside down.

Navigating life without both of my parents has been the hardest thing I have ever done. But through the grief, something kept gently nudging me back.

I know in my heart that something was Mum and Dad.

Lady Lou means more to me now than ever.

Growing up, I watched Mum build something of her own, a boutique filled with beautiful pieces, connection, and confidence. She gave me something I didn’t even know I needed, the belief that it was possible to start from scratch.

Without her showing me what it looked like, I’m not sure Lady Lou would even exist. And my dad, his passing is what led me here in the first place.

Now, when I look at Lady Lou, I see more than a business.

I see the two people who shaped me.

This brand is the thread that still connects me to them.

What Lady Lou has become is simple.

A reminder that even on the hardest days, especially on the hardest days, you deserve to feel like yourself.

For me, it’s earrings. That one small thing I put on and suddenly… I am me again.

That’s what Lady Lou gives you.

Your small little thing. Every single day.

Lots of love,

Lani X
